How Do I Submit Test Orders Or Resend Customer Information

You can test our ordering system at anytime by clicking the Test button in your Manage Products list.

This will open your shopping cart and add your password in the credit card field for testing. Testing can only be done with the credit card payment method. Once the test order is submitted, you will see the in-browser fulfillment message your customer’s see and the order system will send out the emails sent to your customers as well as your normal order notification email.

The second method allows you to submit a test order from your custom order forms by entering a special code in the credit card number field. The format of this code is “pin=your_vendor_login_password” For example, if my Vendor Number is 1000 and my password for logging into https://vendors.bmtmicro.com is “hotrod”, I would enter “pin=hotrod” (minus the quotation marks) in the credit card field. Using your email address as the customer, you can see exactly what a customer receives when he/she purchases online as well as getting developer notification emails. Test orders will not appear in your sales reports.

UPDATE: The new ‘Manage Download Passwords‘ option is available if you need to reset a customers download password, check their download status or send new download instructions.

UPDATE: As of ‘November 2006‘ you can now resend the customer’s original product information email from the Customer Search report. If our system is able to recreate the original email, a resend button will be displayed.
