How Do I Refresh My Browser Cache

Be sure to close the browser and exit all windows once you have cleared the cache.

Google Chrome

  1. To the right of the address bar, click on the 3 vertical dots.
  2. Click “Settings”.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and click “Advanced”.
  4. Click on “Clear browsing data”.
  5. Select your preferred time range and select “Clear data”.

Firefox

  1. To the right of the address bar, click the image with 3 vertical lines and one slanted line.
    If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.
  2. Click on “History”.
  3. Click “Clear Recent History”.
  4. Select all options that you would like to clear (make sure to leave “Cache” selected).
  5. Select “Clear Now”.

Microsoft Edge

  1. In the top right, click the Hub icon (looks like star with three horizontal lines).
  2. Click the History icon (looks like a clock), and then select “Clear all history”.
  3. Select “Browsing history”.
  4. Then select “Cookies and saved website data”.
  5. Select “Cached data and files”.
  6. Then click “Clear”.

Internet Explorer 11

  1. Select Tools > Safety > Delete browsing history….
    If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.
  2. Deselect Preserve Favorites website data, and select:
      Temporary Internet files or Temporary Internet files and website files.
      Cookies or Cookies and website data.
      History.
  3. Click “Delete”. You will see a confirmation at the bottom of the window when the process is complete.

Opera

  1. From the Opera menu, select “Settings”.
  2. Then select “Privacy & Security”.
  3. Select “Clear browsing data…”.
  4. In the dialog box that opens, from the “Obliterate the following items from:” drop-down menu, select The beginning of time.
  5. Select the following:
      Browsing history.
      Download history.
      Cookies and other site data.
      Cached images and files.
  6. Click “Clear browsing data”.

Safari 8+

Enable the “Developer Menu” by selecting “Safari” > “Preferences” > “Advanced” > “Show Develop Menu”

  1. In the menu bar, select “Develop”.
  2. Select “Empty Caches”.
